Six honest questions

• Learning curve. Framer's canvas behaves like a design tool: you move a frame, you set a stack, you publish. Webflow teaches you the real box model, classes, flex and grid, which is a genuine skill and a genuine week of your life. If one person at the property will learn a tool properly, Webflow rewards them. If nobody will, Framer is the safer bet.
• CMS. Both have one, and Webflow's is deeper: more field types, reference and multi reference fields, nested collection lists, and localisation for sites sold into several languages. Framer's is lighter, and for eight suites, a journal and a page of offers, lighter is the point. Count the collections you truly need before you pay for depth you will never open.
• Animation. Framer comes from a motion lineage, so a slow reveal, a soft parallax and a considered easing curve sit close to default. Webflow gives you finer choreography and a higher ceiling, and you will spend the hours to reach it. A small property usually needs three restrained movements repeated with discipline, not a timeline.
• Hosting and pricing model. Neither asks you to run a server. Both include hosting, SSL and a CDN, both charge per site and per seat, and both publish current figures on their own pricing pages, which is where you should read them rather than here. Budget the booking engine separately, because on most small properties that line is larger than the website plan.
• Who maintains it afterwards. This decides more than the design does. A house with nine rooms has no webmaster: the reservations manager edits the New Year menu at eleven at night. Framer's editing surface looks like the published page, so text and photographs are hard to break. Webflow content editing is safe too, but structural changes need class discipline, and when the person who built it moves on, the next freelancer inherits their naming.
• The exit question. Neither platform hands you a portable website. Webflow offers code export on some plans, and the export is static, leaving the CMS, the forms and the hosting behind. What actually travels is what matters: your domain, your photographs at full resolution, your written pages, your CMS as a spreadsheet, and your URL map for redirects. Hold those and a change of platform costs a redesign, not your history.

Why we chose Framer

• We sell to owners, not to agencies. An Edition has to keep its composure after a year of edits by someone whose actual job is running a hotel, and Framer is the platform where that is most likely to hold.
• Motion is set once at the file level, so every page added later inherits the same slow cadence instead of drifting into a different rhythm each season.
• Breakpoints are drawn rather than reflowed. Desktop and mobile are composed as two separate compositions in every Edition, with a different reading order on each.
• The honest limit. If your property needs faceted search across forty rooms, per market pricing, a shop with variants or a full localisation programme, we will say so and point you to Webflow or to a commissioned build. That is a better outcome than selling you a file that fights you every week.
