The lookbook is the page

• A lookbook is a sequence, not a gallery. Each look is a CMS entry with its own image set, so a collection can be reordered the night before it goes live without anyone touching the layout.
• Full bleed on desktop, a different crop on mobile. A vertical studio frame and a wide campaign image cannot be served by the same container, so the two layouts are drawn separately rather than scaled down.
• Credits belong under the look. Photographer, stylist, model agency, location and the garment names in the frame, held in fields so a press contact can copy them without writing to you first.
• The animation is slow on purpose. Images arrive with a long fade, the scroll does not snap, and nothing moves while someone is reading a fabric note.
• One look, one URL. A single look page is what a stylist saves, what an editor links to, and what a marketplace listing can point back to.

Seasons, drops and the archive

• Seasons are a CMS collection. A resort season, a pre fall, a capsule of three pieces: each gets a title, a date, a statement of about forty words and its own sequence of looks.
• A drop needs a page before it needs a countdown. Publish the date, the number of pieces and the sizing, then let the mailing list, the stockists and the social bio all point at one address.
• The archive is not a graveyard. Past seasons keep live URLs, which is where a search for a garment name from two years ago finally lands on something you own.
• Sold out is a state, not a deletion. A piece that is no longer available stays on the site with a quiet note, because the image still sells the next collection.
• Fabric and making notes carry real weight in resortwear. Linen weight, the country of the mill, the city of the atelier and the wash instructions can be published as short lines rather than buried inside a product description.

Stockists, buyers and wholesale

A brand site is not a shop

• A storefront is built for the person who has already decided. A brand site works on the person who has not, and that is most of the traffic an independent label receives.
• If you sell on a marketplace, the site is the reason a buyer chooses your listing over the others on the same page. The listing has forty words. The site has the whole season.
• Search behaves differently for each. A shop competes on product terms, while a brand site wins on your name, your collection names and the words people use for a piece they saw once.
• Commerce can be added later without a rebuild. Framer connects to an external checkout, and the cleanest arrangement is often the brand site on the root domain with the store on a subdomain.
• The site outlives the season. Marketplace listings expire, wholesale accounts change hands, and the pages you own are the only part of the setup nobody else can switch off.
